Synopsis/Plot
Mortal Kombat: Annihilation is a 1997 martial arts fantasy action film directed by John R. Leonetti and written by Brent V. Friedman and Bryce Zabel. It is based on the popular video game series of the same name and is a sequel to the 1995 film Mortal Kombat. The film stars Robin Shou, Talisa Soto, James Remar, Sandra Hess, and Brian Thompson.
The film follows the characters from the first film as they battle the evil god Shinnok and his minions. The heroes must find a way to stop Shinnok and his forces from taking over the world and destroying all of humanity.
The movie begins with the characters from the first film, Liu Kang, Sonya Blade, Johnny Cage, and Jax Briggs, preparing to battle Shinnok and his minions. They are joined by the mysterious warrior Taja, who helps them in their fight against Shinnok. Meanwhile, Shinnok has managed to free himself from his prison and is determined to take over the world.
