Synopsis – What to Expect from “More American Graffiti”

More American Graffiti is a 1979 comedy-drama directed by Bill L. Norton and starring Ron Howard, Paul Le Mat, Charles Martin Smith, Cindy Williams, Mackenzie Phillips, and Candy Clark.

The film takes place four years after the events of the original American Graffiti, and follows the lives of the original characters as they move on with their lives. Curt (Ron Howard) is now married to Laurie (Cindy Williams) and is in the Air Force, stationed in England. He is set to be discharged soon, but is worried about the future. Terry (Paul Le Mat) is now a successful stock car racer, but is starting to feel the pressures of fame and wealth. Steve (Charles Martin Smith) is a college student and is struggling to find his place in the world.

The action follows the original characters as they reunite for a Fourth of July celebration. During the course of the celebration, they all face various problems, including Steve’s struggles to fit in at college, Terry’s struggles with fame and wealth, and Curt’s worries about his future.

The film culminates with the characters coming together to help each other out in their respective struggles. In the end, the characters come to terms with their lives and realize that the future will be whatever they make of it.
