Synopsis/Plot
Mom’s Got a Date with a Vampire is a 2000 family comedy-horror film directed by Steve Boyum and starring Caroline Rhea, Charles Shaughnessy, and Myles Jeffrey.
The film follows the story of a mother, Lynette (Caroline Rhea), who is desperate to find a date for her son, Adam (Myles Jeffrey). When Adam’s friend, Chelsea (Laura Vandervoort), suggests that they use a computer dating service, Adam is horrified. But when he is presented with a date, he is shocked to learn that his date is actually a vampire, Dimitri (Charles Shaughnessy).
Adam and Chelsea must find a way to stop Dimitri from turning Adam into a vampire. Along the way, they enlist the help of two bumbling vampire hunters, Van Helsing (Matt O’Leary) and Dr. Acula (David Nerman). Together, they must save Adam and defeat Dimitri.
