Synopsis/Plot
Mississippi Grind is a 2015 American drama film directed and written by Ryan Fleck and Anna Boden. It stars Ryan Reynolds, Ben Mendelsohn, Sienna Miller, Analeigh Tipton, Alfre Woodard, and Robin Weigert.
The film follows Gerry (Ryan Reynolds), a down-on-his-luck gambler, and Curtis (Ben Mendelsohn), a younger gambler who has a knack for winning. Gerry and Curtis form an unlikely friendship as they travel down the Mississippi River, stopping in various towns along the way to gamble and drink. Along the way, they encounter a variety of colorful characters, including a charming Southern belle (Sienna Miller), a tough-as-nails poker player (Alfre Woodard), and a poker-playing nun (Robin Weigert).
