Synopsis/Plot
Mission to Mars is a science fiction adventure film directed by Brian De Palma and released in 2000. It stars Gary Sinise, Tim Robbins, Don Cheadle, Connie Nielsen, and Jerry O’Connell. The story follows a team of astronauts who are sent on a mission to Mars to investigate the mysterious disappearance of a previous mission.
The mission is led by Luke Graham (Sinise) and his team of astronauts Jim McConnell (Robbins), Terri Fisher (Nielsen), Phil Ohlmyer (Cheadle), and Woody Blake (O’Connell). After arriving on Mars, the team discovers an abandoned spacecraft that was sent on the previous mission. After exploring the spacecraft, they find a mysterious structure that appears to be a doorway to an alien world.
The team soon discovers that the structure is a gateway to an alien civilization and they must enter it to find out what happened to the previous mission. Inside the structure, they find a complex network of tunnels and chambers, all of which are guarded by an alien race called the “Bruisers”. After a series of dangerous encounters, the team is able to make their way to the center of the structure where they find the remains of the previous
