Synopsis/Plot
Missing Link is a 2019 stop-motion animated adventure comedy film directed by Chris Butler and produced by Laika. The film follows the story of Mr. Link, an 8-foot-tall, 630-pound Sasquatch as he embarks on a journey to find his long-lost relatives in the fabled valley of Shangri-La. Along the way, he is joined by Sir Lionel Frost, an acclaimed investigator of mythical creatures, and Adelina Fortnight, an adventurous woman from whom Sir Lionel hopes to gain assistance in his quest.
The film is set in the late 19th century, and follows Mr. Link as he attempts to prove to the world that he is the missing link between man and ape. With the help of Sir Lionel and Adelina, Mr. Link embarks on an epic journey across the world to find his long-lost relatives in the fabled valley of Shangri-La. Along the way, they must face many dangers and obstacles, both natural and man-made. As they travel, they discover that Mr. Link is not only the missing link, but also a unique and lovable creature.
