Synopsis – What to Expect from “Miss You Already”
Miss You Already is a 2015 British romantic drama film directed by Catherine Hardwicke and written by Morwenna Banks. The film stars Drew Barrymore and Toni Collette as two best friends who have been inseparable since childhood.
The film follows lifelong friends Milly (Collette) and Jess (Barrymore) who have been inseparable since they were young. Milly is happily married to Kit (Dominic Cooper) and has two children, while Jess is a successful businesswoman with no children. Despite their different paths in life, the two remain best friends and support each other through thick and thin.
When Milly discovers that she has breast cancer, her life is thrown into turmoil. She must now face the reality of her illness and the possibility of death. Despite this, Milly and Jess continue to support each other and remain close.
However, Jess’s life is also thrown into chaos when she discovers that she is pregnant. Milly is overjoyed for her friend, but is also filled with guilt, as she knows that she will soon be leaving her best friend behind.
As Milly’s health declines, Jess must come to terms with the fact that her best friend will soon be gone, and she will have to face her own life without her. The two must come to terms with their own mortality, and find strength in each other as they prepare for the inevitable.
