Synopsis – What to Expect from “Mimic: Sentinel”
Mimic: Sentinel is a 2003 horror film directed by J.T. Petty and starring Karl Geary, Alexis Dziena, and Edward Albert.
The film is set in New York City, where a deadly species of genetically engineered insects called the “Judas Breed” has been released into the environment. The insects, created by Dr. Susan Tyler (Mira Sorvino) to combat a plague of cockroaches, have evolved to become much larger and more deadly than their original form.
The film follows the story of a young man, Josh (Karl Geary), who is hired to investigate a series of mysterious deaths in the city. He discovers that the Judas Breed are responsible for the deaths, and that they have developed a new form – the Sentinel – which is capable of mimicking human behavior. As Josh and his partner, Leech (Alexis Dziena), investigate further, they discover that the Sentinel is being used by a mysterious figure to control the Judas Breed and spread terror throughout the city.
With the help of Dr. Tyler, Josh and Leech must find a way to stop the Sentinel and save the city before it is too late. Along the way, they must battle the Judas Breed and the mysterious figure controlling them, as well as their own personal demons.
