Synopsis/Plot
Midnight Sun is a romantic drama film directed by Scott Speer and written by Eric Kirsten. The film stars Bella Thorne and Patrick Schwarzenegger as two young people who fall in love despite the fact that the girl, Katie Price, suffers from a rare genetic condition called Xeroderma Pigmentosum, or XP. XP makes it impossible for Katie to be exposed to any kind of sunlight, so she is confined to her home during the day and only ventures out at night.
The film follows Katie and her father Jack as they adjust to her condition and struggle to maintain a normal life. Katie meets Charlie, a charming and handsome classmate, and the two quickly form a bond. Despite the warnings from her father, Katie and Charlie grow closer and eventually fall in love.
The film follows the couple as they navigate their relationship and the challenges of Katie’s condition. As Katie’s condition begins to deteriorate, she and Charlie must find a way to be together despite the obstacles that stand in their way.
