Synopsis/Plot
Mickey’s Christmas Carol is a 1983 animated short film produced by Walt Disney Productions and released by Buena Vista Distribution. The film was directed by Burny Mattinson and featured the vocal talents of Alan Young as Scrooge McDuck, Wayne Allwine as Mickey Mouse, Hal Smith as Goofy, and Eddie Carroll as Jiminy Cricket.
The film begins with a narration from Jiminy Cricket, who tells the story of Ebenezer Scrooge, an old miser who hates Christmas and cares only for money. Scrooge is visited by the ghost of his former business partner, Jacob Marley, who warns him that he will be visited by three spirits. The first spirit is the Ghost of Christmas Past, who shows Scrooge his past and how he became a miser. The second spirit is the Ghost of Christmas Present, who shows Scrooge the joy of the season and how his behavior affects those around him. The third spirit is the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come, who shows Scrooge the consequences of his actions if he does not change his ways.
