Synopsis – What to Expect from “Meteor”

Meteor is a 1979 science fiction disaster film starring Sean Connery, Natalie Wood, Karl Malden, and Martin Landau.

The movie follows the story of a group of scientists and government officials who must work together to prevent a large meteor from hitting the Earth. The meteor is heading straight for New York City and if it hits, it will cause catastrophic destruction.

The scientists are able to create a plan to break up the meteor before it hits the Earth. However, the plan is risky and requires the help of a space shuttle. The government officials are unwilling to risk the lives of the astronauts, so they enlist the help of a retired U.S. Air Force General, played by Sean Connery.

General Mueller agrees to take on the mission and leads the space shuttle to the meteor. After a few attempts, the team is able to successfully break up the meteor, saving the Earth from destruction.

Meanwhile, a group of villains led by a mad scientist, Dr. Paul Bradley (Martin Landau), are also after the meteor. They plan to use the meteor to create a powerful weapon of mass destruction. Dr. Bradley and his team are able to gain access to the meteor and steal a piece of it.

General Mueller and the scientists must now race against time to stop the villains before they can use the meteor to create their weapon. In the end, the team is able to stop the villains and save the world from destruction.
