Synopsis/Plot
Meet Dave is a 2008 American science fiction comedy film directed by Brian Robbins and written by Bill Corbett and Rob Greenberg. The film stars Eddie Murphy, Elizabeth Banks, Gabrielle Union, Scott Caan, Ed Helms, Kevin Hart, and Pat Kilbane.
The film follows Dave, a spaceship shaped like a human, which is piloted by miniature aliens who are trying to save their planet. Dave is sent to Earth to retrieve a powerful orb, which holds the secret to their planet’s survival. However, Dave is not alone on his mission, as he is accompanied by two of the aliens, Number 3 and Number 2. Together, they must find the orb before their enemies do, in order to save their planet.
Along the way, Dave and his alien crew encounter a number of other characters, including Gina, a single mother and her son Josh. Dave must also contend with his own ship’s malfunctioning systems, as well as the evil Captain Gorgon and his robot henchmen, who are determined to get the orb for themselves.
