Synopsis – What to Expect from “Me and You and Everyone We Know”
Me and You and Everyone We Know is a 2005-06-17 released film that follows the intertwined lives of a diverse set of characters in the city of Los Angeles.
The story begins with Richard (John Hawkes), a recently divorced shoe salesman who is struggling to connect with his two sons, Peter (Miles Thompson) and Robby (Brandon Ratcliff). He meets Christine (Miranda July), an eccentric artist who is also a single mother to two boys, Rebecca (Najarra Townsend) and Peter (Carlie Westerman). The two find a connection and develop a relationship.
Meanwhile, Robby and Rebecca develop an online relationship and explore their burgeoning sexuality. Peter, on the other hand, meets a strange old man in the park who gives him a mysterious box and tells him to keep it safe.
At the same time, Christine’s brother Andrew (Brad William Henke) is dealing with his own issues of loneliness and depression. He meets an elderly woman named Sylvia (JoNell Kennedy) who helps him find some solace.
The lives of these characters intersect and intertwine in unexpected ways as they explore the complexities of relationships and the human condition. Through it all, they discover that love and connection can be found in the most unlikely of places.
