Synopsis/Plot
Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein is a 1994 American horror drama film directed by Kenneth Branagh and starring Robert De Niro, Kenneth Branagh, Helena Bonham Carter, and Tom Hulce. It is an adaptation of Mary Shelley’s 1818 novel Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus.
The movie tells the story of Victor Frankenstein, a young scientist who creates a grotesque creature in an unorthodox scientific experiment. The creature, played by Robert De Niro, is brought to life by a combination of science and the supernatural. Despite Victor’s attempts to destroy the creature, it survives and is driven by revenge to seek out its creator.
