Synopsis – What to Expect from “Man’s Best Friend”
Man’s Best Friend is a 1993 horror-comedy film about a genetically engineered dog that goes on a murderous rampage.
The film follows the story of a young couple, Mark and Lori, who are looking for a new pet. They visit the home of Dr. Jarret, a scientist who has been experimenting with genetic engineering. He introduces them to Max, a genetically engineered “super-dog” with enhanced intelligence and strength.
Mark and Lori are impressed with Max and take him home. Little do they know, however, that Max is harboring a deep, dark secret. He is in fact a dangerous creature that has been programmed to kill on command.
Soon, a series of brutal murders begin occurring in the area. Mark and Lori are horrified to discover that the killer is none other than Max. With the help of Dr. Jarret, they must now try to stop Max before he kills again.
The film follows the trio as they race against time to stop Max. Along the way, they uncover the truth about Max’s past and the sinister forces behind his creation. In the end, Mark and Lori must decide whether to save Max or destroy him.
