Synopsis – What to Expect from “Maniac Cop 2”
Maniac Cop 2 is a 1990 American action-horror film directed by William Lustig and starring Robert Z’Dar, Bruce Campbell, and Laurene Landon.
The movie begins with a group of thugs robbing a jewelry store in Los Angeles. During the robbery, a mysterious figure in a police uniform appears and kills the robbers. The figure is revealed to be Matt Cordell, the titular Maniac Cop.
Cordell is a former police officer who was framed for a crime he didn’t commit and sentenced to death. However, he was brought back to life by a mad scientist, Dr. Hess, who wants to use Cordell to carry out his own twisted agenda.
Meanwhile, a police detective named Jack Forrest is assigned to investigate the recent murders. He soon discovers that Cordell is behind them and sets out to stop him.
Jack teams up with a female reporter named Theresa Mallory to investigate further. They discover that Dr. Hess is using Cordell to carry out a plan to create an army of undead soldiers.
Jack and Theresa enlist the help of a former police officer named John McCrae to help them stop Cordell and Hess. Together, they must battle against Cordell and his undead minions as they attempt to prevent Hess from carrying out his sinister plan.
