Synopsis/Plot
Man of Tai Chi is a 2013 Chinese-American martial arts film directed by and starring Keanu Reeves, and featuring Tiger Chen, Karen Mok, and Iko Uwais. The film follows the story of Tiger Chen, a young martial artist from Beijing who is chosen to participate in an underground fight club. After being trained by an elderly martial arts master, Chen is pitted against an array of formidable opponents in a series of brutal battles. As the stakes get higher, Chen must make a choice between his own moral code and the corrupt world of underground fighting.
The film is set in modern-day Beijing and follows Tiger Chen, a young martial artist who is chosen by a mysterious underground fight club to participate in a series of brutal battles. Despite his master’s warnings, Chen accepts the offer and begins to train for the tournament. As he progresses through the tournament, Chen must face off against increasingly skilled opponents, and in the process, he must decide whether to adhere to his own moral code or succumb to the corrupt world of underground fighting.
