Made You Look: A True Story About Fake Art follows the story of art investigator, Elyse Luray, as she attempts to uncover the truth behind the sale of millions of dollars of fake art.
The film begins with Elyse Luray, an art investigator, being called in to investigate a case of a painting that was sold for millions of dollars. After further investigation, Elyse discovers that the painting is a fake and that the person who sold it is a part of a larger art fraud ring.
Elyse then begins to investigate the ring and its members, eventually coming across a man named Joe Guttman. Joe is a former art dealer who has been selling fake art for years, and Elyse believes he may be connected to the fraud ring.
Elyse then begins to track down Joe’s associates, eventually finding out that he is connected to a group of international art forgers. She discovers that the group has been producing and selling fake art for years, and that the money they make from it is used to fund various criminal activities.
As Elyse continues to investigate, she discovers a connection between the forgers and a powerful criminal organization. She then discovers that the organization is using the fake art to launder money and finance their various criminal activities. With this information, Elyse is able to put an end to the art fraud ring and bring the criminals to justice.
