Synopsis – What to Expect from “Lying to Be Perfect”
Lying to Be Perfect is a romantic comedy about a woman named Paula, a workaholic who is constantly trying to please her boss and coworkers. She is constantly trying to get ahead in her career and believes that if she can just be perfect, then she will get the recognition she deserves.
When her boss assigns her to write a book about how to be perfect, Paula decides to use her own life as a template. She starts to lie about various aspects of her life, from her age to her relationships, to make herself appear more desirable and successful.
At the same time, Paula meets a handsome doctor, David, and the two of them quickly become close. As their relationship progresses, Paula finds herself struggling to keep up the lies she has created. She begins to realize that she has to make a decision between her career and her relationship.
The story follows Paula as she attempts to juggle her professional and personal life while trying to keep her lies from being revealed. Along the way, she learns that perfection isn’t always what it seems and that sometimes the truth is more important than anything else.
