Synopsis – What to Expect from “Lucas”
Lucas is a coming-of-age story about a 14-year-old boy named Lucas Blye (Corey Haim) who is struggling to find his place in the world. Lucas is an intelligent and sensitive teenager, but he is also socially awkward and prone to getting into trouble.
When Lucas begins attending a new school, he finds himself the target of bullies. He is befriended by a group of misfits, including the beautiful and popular Maggie (Kerri Green), who takes him under her wing. Lucas quickly falls in love with Maggie, but she is already in a relationship with the school’s star athlete, Rina (Winona Ryder).
Rina’s possessive behavior towards Maggie causes a rift between the two girls, and Lucas is caught in the middle. To make matters worse, Lucas is also struggling with his parents’ divorce and his father’s remarriage.
Lucas must find a way to stand up for himself and navigate the complicated relationships in his life. With the help of his friends, Lucas discovers the courage to face his fears and take control of his own destiny.
