The Robinson family is selected to be part of a space exploration mission to colonize a distant planet. The mission is funded by the United States government and is headed by Doctor Zachary Smith, a scientist with a hidden agenda. When Doctor Smith sabotages the mission, the Robinsons are sent hurtling off course into a dangerous region of space. With the help of a friendly alien, they must find a way to get back to Earth.
The film follows the family as they face the dangers of space, including hostile aliens, treacherous asteroids, and malfunctioning robots. Along the way, they must rely on each other’s courage and ingenuity to survive.
