Synopsis – What to Expect from “Long Shot”
Long Shot is a 2017 romantic comedy starring Charlize Theron and Seth Rogen. The film follows the story of Fred Flarsky, an unemployed journalist, and Charlotte Field, the U.S. Secretary of State.
Fred Flarsky is a talented and free-spirited journalist who, after losing his job at an alternative newspaper, takes a job as a speechwriter for Charlotte Field, a powerful and influential politician who is running for president. Charlotte and Fred have a history together; they were childhood friends and Fred had a major crush on Charlotte when they were kids.
As Fred and Charlotte work together, they develop a close friendship and eventually a romantic relationship. Despite the fact that Charlotte is a powerful politician and Fred is an unemployed journalist, they both find themselves drawn to each other.
Meanwhile, Charlotte is facing a formidable opponent in the presidential race, and the odds are stacked against her. Fred decides to help her in any way he can, and with his wit and charm, he helps her win the election.
After Charlotte wins the election, she and Fred get married and live happily ever after. The movie ends with a montage of Fred and Charlotte’s life together, showing that despite their differences, they have found true love.
