Synopsis – What to Expect from “Little Shop of Horrors”
Little Shop of Horrors follows the story of Seymour Krelborn, a meek and dejected florist’s assistant who discovers an exotic plant that he names “Audrey II” after his co-worker crush, Audrey.
Seymour soon discovers that Audrey II is actually an alien creature with a carnivorous appetite that requires human blood to survive. In order to keep his newfound plant alive, Seymour must feed it human blood. As the plant grows, it starts to become a local celebrity, drawing in customers from all over the city.
Seymour’s boss, Mr. Mushnik, is thrilled with the newfound success of the shop and offers to make Seymour a partner. However, Seymour’s newfound fame and success come with a price. As Audrey II grows, it starts to demand more and more blood, and Seymour is forced to make more and more desperate choices.
Seymour’s relationship with Audrey is also put to the test, as she discovers the truth about the plant and its bloodthirsty appetite.
In the end, Seymour and Audrey are able to defeat the plant, and Seymour is able to save the day. However, the cost is great, and Seymour is left to ponder the consequences of his actions.
