Synopsis/Plot
Little Black Book is a 2004 romantic comedy-drama film starring Brittany Murphy, Holly Hunter, Ron Livingston, and Kathy Bates. The film follows the story of Stacy Holt (Murphy), an associate producer on a tabloid talk show who is inspired by her co-worker Barb (Hunter) to spy on her boyfriend Derek (Livingston). Stacy discovers Derek’s little black book of past girlfriends and decides to use it to her advantage. She interviews each of the former girlfriends and discovers that Derek is not the man she thought he was. As she learns more about Derek’s past, she begins to question their relationship and her own identity. The film follows Stacy’s journey of self-discovery as she learns to trust her own instincts and take control of her own life. Along the way, she finds strength and courage to stand up for herself and find true love. Little Black Book is an uplifting comedy-drama that celebrates the importance of being true to oneself and finding the courage to stand up for what you believe in.
