Synopsis – What to Expect from “Like Father Like Son”
Like Father Like Son is a 1987 American comedy film starring Dudley Moore and Kirk Cameron. The film follows the story of Chris Hammond, a high school senior who discovers that he was switched at birth with another baby. As a result, his real father is Jack, an overbearing businessman, and his real mother is a free-spirited hippie.
Chris struggles to adjust to his new family, while Jack tries to teach him the value of hard work and responsibility. At the same time, Chris must also deal with the fact that his new father is a strict disciplinarian who doesn’t understand his son’s desire to pursue his own interests. Eventually, Chris and Jack realize that they have more in common than they thought, and the two learn to accept and appreciate each other.
The film also stars Sean Astin as Chris’s best friend, and Susan Ursitti as his love interest. As Chris and Jack’s relationship develops, Chris learns to stand up for himself and his beliefs, while Jack learns to be more understanding and supportive. In the end, the two come to understand and appreciate each other, and the family is reunited.
