Synopsis – What to Expect from “Like Crazy”
Like Crazy is a 2011 romantic drama that follows the story of two college students, Anna and Jacob, who fall in love but are quickly separated when Anna is forced to return to her home country of England due to visa issues.
The film begins with Anna and Jacob meeting as college students in Los Angeles. They quickly fall in love and begin a passionate relationship, but their happiness is short-lived when Anna’s visa expires and she is forced to return to England. Despite the distance, the couple attempts to maintain their relationship through long-distance Skype calls and trips back and forth across the ocean.
Jacob is unable to get a visa to visit Anna in England, so Anna decides to take matters into her own hands and returns to the United States, only to be detained at the airport and sent back to England. Desperate to be with Jacob, she tries to sneak back into the country, but is caught and deported.
The couple continues to struggle to stay together, but the distance and the restrictions of Anna’s visa become too much for them to bear. They drift apart and eventually break up, leaving both of them heartbroken.
The film ends with Anna and Jacob reuniting at a mutual friend’s wedding. They share a bittersweet moment, reflecting on their time together and the love they once shared. In the end, the couple decides to remain friends and move on with their lives.
