Synopsis – What to Expect from “Let’s Make Love”
Let’s Make Love is a romantic musical comedy starring Marilyn Monroe and Yves Montand. The film follows the story of a wealthy playboy, Jean-Marc Clement (Yves Montand), who is bored with his life of luxury and decides to take on a new challenge. He decides to disguise himself as an impoverished street musician and enter an amateur talent show.
Meanwhile, Amanda Dell (Marilyn Monroe) is a beautiful and talented Broadway star who is struggling to make ends meet. She is also in the talent show and Jean-Marc falls in love with her. Despite his disguise, Amanda recognizes Jean-Marc and is initially unimpressed with his antics.
However, as the talent show progresses, Jean-Marc begins to win Amanda over with his charm and wit. He also reveals his true identity to her and the two eventually fall in love.
The film follows the couple as they face the obstacles of their different social statuses and the disapproval of Amanda’s family. They must also contend with Jean-Marc’s jealous ex-girlfriend, who is determined to get him back.
In the end, Jean-Marc and Amanda overcome the odds and declare their love for each other. They get married and live happily ever after.
