Synopsis/Plot
Lethal Weapon 2 is a 1989 American action film directed by Richard Donner and starring Mel Gibson, Danny Glover, and Joe Pesci. It is the sequel to the 1987 film Lethal Weapon, and the second installment in the Lethal Weapon film series.
In Lethal Weapon 2, LAPD detectives Martin Riggs (Gibson) and Roger Murtaugh (Glover) are assigned to investigate a series of South African diplomat murders. In the course of their investigation, they discover a smuggling operation involving South African diplomats and a group of criminals. With the help of Internal Affairs Sergeant Lorna Cole (Pesci), the pair must bring the criminals to justice before their own lives are put in danger.
The film is known for its fast-paced action sequences, as well as its comedic elements. It features several memorable car chases, shootout scenes, and stunts, as well as a memorable performance by Gibson. It also features a number of memorable lines, such as Murtaugh’s catchphrase, “I’m too old for this s***!”
