Synopsis/Plot
Let Me In is a 2010 American supernatural horror film directed by Matt Reeves and written by Reeves and John Ajvide Lindqvist, based on Lindqvist’s 2004 novel of the same name. The film tells the story of a bullied 12-year-old boy who develops a friendship with a mysterious young girl who appears to be a vampire.
The film stars Kodi Smit-McPhee as Owen, a troubled and lonely 12-year-old boy living in a small New Mexico town in 1983. He is regularly bullied by a group of older boys at his school, and is ignored by his divorced parents. One night, he meets Abby (Chloë Grace Moretz), a strange young girl who has just moved in to the apartment across the street. As their friendship develops, Owen discovers that Abby is a vampire, and that she must drink human blood to stay alive.
Despite the fact that Abby is a vampire, Owen’s feelings for her grow, and he begins to protect her from the bullies and the police, who are searching for a serial killer who has been murdering local children.
