Synopsis/Plot
Leatherface is a 2017 American horror film directed by Alexandre Bustillo and Julien Maury, and written by Seth M. Sherwood. It is a prequel to the 1974 film The Texas Chain Saw Massacre.
The film follows the early life of the iconic Leatherface, who is portrayed as a shy, mentally challenged young man with an affinity for creating masks from human skin. When a young nurse is kidnapped by a group of violent teens, they take her to an abandoned house in the middle of nowhere, where a young Leatherface is being held captive.
The group of teens, led by a sadistic and twisted leader, terrorize Leatherface and the nurse. However, when they push Leatherface toofar, he unleashes a chainsaw-wielding fury of flesh and blood that is beyond their control.
The film follows Leatherface as he takes control of his own destiny, and embarks on a mission of revenge and liberation. Along the way, Leatherface discovers the true nature of his identity, and the secrets behind the masks he wears.
