Synopsis – What to Expect from “Le Week-End”
Le Week-End is a 2013 British romantic comedy-drama film directed by Roger Michell.
The movie follows an aging British couple, Nick (Jim Broadbent) and Meg (Lindsay Duncan), who decide to take a weekend away in Paris to rekindle their relationship. When they arrive, they find themselves out of their element, and the city appears to be a much different place than they remember.
Nick and Meg explore the city, visiting old haunts and reminiscing about their past. They also meet an old friend, Morgan (Jeff Goldblum), who is now living in Paris. Morgan introduces them to an exuberant young couple, who show them the modern side of the city.
As the weekend progresses, Nick and Meg find themselves rekindling their old feelings for each other. However, they also face some difficult truths about their relationship and their lives. They must decide if they are willing to make the changes necessary to stay together, or if they should part ways.
Le Week-End is a heartwarming and humorous look at a couple’s attempt to rekindle their romance. It is a story of love, loss, and hope, as Nick and Meg try to find a way to move forward in their lives.
