Synopsis – What to Expect from “LBJ”
LBJ is a 2017 biographical political drama film directed by Rob Reiner and starring Woody Harrelson as the 36th President of the United States, Lyndon B. Johnson.
The movie begins with Johnson’s election as Vice President in 1960 and follows his rise to the presidency after the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. As President, Johnson is faced with the monumental task of unifying a divided nation and pushing through the landmark Civil Rights Act of 1964.
