Synopsis – What to Expect from “Lassie”
Lassie is an adventure drama film released in 2005. The film is set in the rural town of Green Hills, Virginia. The plot follows the story of a young boy, Matt Turner (played by Jonathan Mason), who moves to Green Hills with his family. Upon arriving, Matt meets a border collie named Lassie, who he quickly bonds with.
When Matt’s family is forced to move away, he is devastated and decides to take Lassie with him. His parents are against the idea, but Matt is determined to keep Lassie. He embarks on a cross-country journey with Lassie, determined to find his family a new home.
Along the way, Matt and Lassie encounter a variety of obstacles, including a raging river, a dangerous mountain, and a pack of wolves. They also meet a variety of interesting characters, including a kindly old woman, a gruff rancher, and a mysterious stranger.
Through it all, Matt and Lassie remain loyal to each other, and eventually find their way back to Green Hills. There, they are reunited with Matt’s family, and all is well. The film ends with Lassie and Matt happily living together in Green Hills.
