Synopsis/Plot
Lara Croft: Tomb Raider is an action-adventure film released in 2001 starring Angelina Jolie as the titular character. The story follows Lara Croft, an aristocratic English archaeologist-adventurer, as she embarks on a dangerous quest to recover ancient artifacts from a secret society known as the Illuminati.
The film starts with Lara being informed that her father, Lord Richard Croft, has gone missing and is presumed dead. She discovers that her father had been searching for a powerful ancient artifact known as the Triangle of Light. She believes that the Triangle of Light is the key to unlocking an ancient power that could be used for either good or evil.
Lara sets out to find the Triangleof Light and is soon thrust into a deadly race against her rival, the Illuminatus, a secret society that seeks to use the Triangle of Light for their own evil purposes. She soon discovers that the Triangle of Light is guarded by a powerful creature known as the Guardian of the Light.
Lara must battle her way through an array of enemies, including the Guardian of the Light, in order to retrieve the Triangle of Light and prevent the Illuminatus from using its power for evil. In the end, Lara succeeds in recovering the Triangle of Light and preventing the Illuminatus from using it for evil. She is then reunited with her father and the two celebrate their victory.
