Synopsis – What to Expect from “Kiss Me Deadly”
Kiss Me Deadly is a 1955 film noir directed by Robert Aldrich and starring Ralph Meeker as Mike Hammer, a private investigator who becomes embroiled in a dangerous mystery when he picks up a hitchhiker, Christina Bailey (Cloris Leachman). Hammer is hired by a mysterious man to find a woman named Christina, and Hammer soon discovers that she is a victim of a mysterious organization that is involved in a deadly conspiracy.
The film begins with Hammer picking up Christina on a deserted highway. She is scared and desperate, and Hammer soon discovers that she is in possession of a mysterious box. Hammer takes Christina to his office and tries to help her, but he soon finds himself in the middle of a dangerous mystery. Hammer discovers that Christina is being hunted by a mysterious organization, and that they are willing to do anything to get the box. Hammer teams up with his friend, Velda (Maxine Cooper), to try and solve the mystery.
Hammer and Velda soon discover that the box contains a deadly secret that could destroy the world. As they investigate further, they find themselves in a dangerous game of cat-and-mouse with the mysterious organization, and Hammer must use all of his skills to stay alive. Along the way, Hammer and Velda discover a shocking truth about the organization and the people behind it.
