Synopsis/Plot
Kinky Boots is a heartwarming comedy-drama set in the British town of Northampton. The film follows the story of Charlie Price, a struggling shoe factory owner who is trying to save his family business from bankruptcy. After inheriting the factory from his father, Charlie meets a drag queen named Lola who helps him come up with an idea to save the factory. Charlie decides to start producing high-heeled boots for drag queens and cross-dressers, and the two join forces to make it happen.
The movie follows Charlie as he struggles to make his new business venture a success, while also dealing with his own personal issues. Along the way, he meets a variety of colorful characters, including the factory workers who are initially skeptical of his plan, and the drag queens who become his loyal customers. Through it all, Charlie learns the importance of family, friendship, and self-acceptance.
