Synopsis/Plot
King Kong Lives is a 1986 American monster-action film directed by John Guillermin. It stars Linda Hamilton and Brian Kerwin as the leads. The film is a sequel to the 1976 remake of the 1933 classic, King Kong.
The story begins with King Kong, who is left for dead after the events of the first movie. He is discovered by a team of scientists led by Dr. Amy Franklin (Linda Hamilton), who is determined to restore him to life. After a daring operation, she succeeds, but Kong is left with a serious heart condition. To save his life, he needs a new heart, and the only way to get one is to find a female Kong.
Kong is put in a giant cage and taken to the United States, where he is placed in a wildlife preserve. Meanwhile, a female Kong is discovered in the jungles of Borneo, and is brought back to the preserve to be Kong’s mate. But the military, led by Colonel Nevitt (Brian Kerwin), is determined to capture and kill Kong.
