Synopsis/Plot
Kicks is a 2016 drama film written and directed by Justin Tipping. The film follows Brandon, a 15-year-old from the East Bay who is desperately trying to find a pair of Air Jordans that will help him fit in with his friends and gain respect on the streets. His quest leads him on a journey of self-discovery as he navigates the perils of coming of age in a tough neighborhood. Along the way, he must contend with an abusive father, a local gang, and his own insecurities.
The film stars Jahking Guillory as Brandon, Christopher Jordan Wallace as his best friend Rico, and Kofi Siriboe as the local gang leader. The film also features Maestro Harrell, CJ Wallace, and Kandi Burruss.
