Synopsis – What to Expect from “Kickin’ It Old Skool”
Kickin’ It Old Skool is a 2007 comedy film directed by Harvey Glazer and starring Jamie Kennedy, Maria Menounos, Debra Jo Rupp, and Miguel A. Núñez Jr.
The story follows Justin Schumacher (Kennedy), an aspiring breakdancer who has been in a coma since 1986. After waking up 20 years later, he finds himself in a world that has changed drastically since he was a kid. He must now learn to adjust to the new world, while also trying to reconnect with his family and friends.
Justin soon discovers that he has a daughter, Jasmine (Menounos), who he never knew he had. He also finds out that his old breakdancing crew, the “Old Skoolers”, are still active and competing in dance competitions. With his old crew’s help, Justin is determined to make a comeback and reclaim his place as one of the best breakdancers in the world.
Justin and the Old Skoolers must battle against the new generation of breakdancers, led by the arrogant and talented Kid Fresh (Núñez Jr.). As the competition heats up, Justin and the Old Skoolers must find a way to prove that they still have what it takes to be the best breakdancers in the world.
