Synopsis – What to Expect from “Keeping the Faith”
Keeping the Faith is a romantic comedy-drama released in 2000. It follows the story of two childhood best friends, Jake (Edward Norton) and Brian (Ben Stiller), who have grown up and gone their separate ways. Jake is a Catholic priest and Brian is a successful rabbi. When their paths cross again, they find themselves in an awkward situation when Anna (Jenna Elfman), an old friend, comes into their lives.
Anna is a free-spirited woman who is looking for love and adventure. She quickly finds a connection with Jake and the two begin to explore a romantic relationship. Meanwhile, Brian is struggling with his own feelings for Anna, as he is in love with her. He is torn between his faith and his feelings for her.
As the trio navigates the complexities of their relationship, they must also deal with their different religious backgrounds. Jake and Brian must also face their own inner struggles, as they come to terms with their faith and the fact that they are in love with the same woman.
The movie follows the three characters as they try to find a balance between their faith and their feelings for one another. Along the way, they must learn to accept each other’s differences and find a way to make their relationship work. In the end, they must decide if they can keep the faith in each other and in themselves.
