Synopsis – What to Expect from “Just Wright”
Just Wright is a romantic comedy-drama released in 2010 starring Queen Latifah and Common. It follows the story of Leslie Wright (Queen Latifah), a physical therapist from East Orange, New Jersey, who dreams of having her own practice.
Leslie is a loyal, hardworking woman who loves basketball and has a special bond with her favorite NBA team, the New Jersey Nets. When the team’s star player, Scott McKnight (Common) is injured, Leslie is hired to help him recover.
At first, Leslie and Scott butt heads, but eventually they form a strong bond. Scott begins to develop feelings for Leslie, but she is hesitant to return them because of his celebrity status. Meanwhile, Leslie’s long-time friend and secret admirer, Morgan (Paula Patton), is also vying for her attention.
When Leslie discovers that Scott is being courted by a gold-digging reality TV star, she musters up the courage to tell him how she feels. Despite the odds, Leslie and Scott manage to find true love.
In the end, Leslie is able to open her own practice, and Scott and Leslie become a couple, proving that true love can conquer all.
