Synopsis/Plot
Juice is a 1992 drama/crime film directed by Ernest R. Dickerson and starring Omar Epps, Tupac Shakur, Jermaine ‘Huggy’ Hopkins, Khalil Kain, and Samuel L. Jackson. The movie follows four young African-American men living in Harlem who, in search of power and respect, become caught up in the pursuit of money and fame through the world of hip-hop and crime.
The movie follows Q (Omar Epps), Bishop (Tupac Shakur), Raheem (Khalil Kain) and Steel (Jermaine ‘Huggy’ Hopkins) as they navigate the streets of their neighborhood, trying to make ends meet and find their place in the world. After a failed robbery attempt, the four friends are inspired to try their hand at a more lucrative criminal enterprise. They decide to rob a local convenience store, but the robbery quickly turns deadly when Raheem is shot and killed by the store’s owner. The remaining friends are left to deal with the consequences of their actions, and must confront the reality of their situation and the choices they have made.
