Synopsis/Plot
Judge Dredd is a 1995 science fiction action film based on the comic book character of the same name. The movie stars Sylvester Stallone as Judge Dredd, a futuristic lawman in a vast metropolis called Mega-City One. The city is plagued by crime and overcrowding, so the Judges are given the power to act as judge, jury, and executioner. Judge Dredd is framed for a murder he didn’t commit and must fight to clear his name and restore justice to the city.
The movie follows Judge Dredd as he teams up with a rookie Judge, Judge Hershey (Diane Lane), to investigate the murder of a former Judge. As they investigate, they uncover a conspiracy involving the city’s corrupt mayor and a powerful drug lord. To stop them, Judge Dredd must battle his way through hordes of criminals and mutants, while struggling to keep his own inner demons at bay.
