Synopsis/Plot
Judas and the Black Messiah is a powerful and timely biographical drama about the life of Fred Hampton, Chairman of the Illinois Chapter of the Black Panther Party, and the FBI informant who betrayed him, William O’Neal.
The film follows Hampton’s rise to power in the late 1960s, as he organizes and mobilizes the African American community of Chicago and works to create a unified front against police brutality and racism. His charisma and intelligence quickly gain him attention from the FBI, who dispatch O’Neal to infiltrate the Black Panther Party and report back to them.
As O’Neal struggles with his conscience and loyalty, Hampton continues to fight for justice and equality, inspiring the people around him with his passionate speeches and commitment to his cause. When the FBI finally moves in to arrest Hampton, O’Neal is forced to make a fateful decision that will have devastating consequences.
