Synopsis – What to Expect from “Jack Frost”
Jack Frost is a 1997 family fantasy comedy film about a father, Jack Frost, who is killed in a car accident and is reincarnated as a snowman.
The film begins with Jack Frost (Michael Keaton) as a single father living in a small town, trying to make ends meet and provide a good life for his son, Charlie (Joseph Cross). Jack is a musician who dreams of making it big, but he is unable to break through and make a living from his music.
One day, Jack takes Charlie on a trip to visit his mother, who lives in a nearby town. On the way, they get caught in a snowstorm and Jack is killed in a car accident. Charlie is devastated and his mother, Gabby (Kelly Preston), is heartbroken.
Meanwhile, a magical snowman is created from the snow that falls from Jack’s grave. This snowman is Jack, reincarnated as a snowman. He is able to communicate with Charlie and the two become close friends.
Jack helps Charlie to cope with his loss and assists him in his music career. With Jack’s help, Charlie is able to make a name for himself as a musician. Jack also helps Charlie to find a way to make peace with his mother and the two eventually reconcile.
Jack also helps the town to become more unified and friendly. He brings joy and laughter to the people and helps to bring them closer together.
