Synopsis/Plot
Jack and Jill is a 2011 American comedy film starring Adam Sandler as Jack Sadelstein, a successful advertising executive in Los Angeles with a beautiful wife and kids. His life is disrupted when his identical twin sister, Jill (also played by Adam Sandler), comes to visit for the Thanksgiving holiday. Jill is an annoying, loud-mouthed, obnoxious woman who overstays her welcome and makes Jack’s life miserable.
Jack and Jill’s antics cause chaos in Jack’s life as they get into all sorts of trouble, including a disastrous trip to a family Thanksgiving dinner, a wild night at a Hollywood party, and a disastrous visit to a local amusement park. As Jack tries to get rid of Jill, he discovers that despite her annoying behavior, she has a kind heart and is just looking for a place to belong.
Jack and Jill is a hilarious comedy filled with slapstick humor and outrageous antics. Adam Sandler brings his unique brand of comedy to the film and is able to make even the most outrageous situations seem plausible. The film is a lighthearted look at family dynamics and the lengths we will go to protect those we love.
