Synopsis – What to Expect from “Intruders”
Intruders is a 2011 Spanish-British psychological horror film directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo. The film follows the story of two children, John and Mia, who are suddenly plagued by a mysterious intruder who is attempting to steal their souls.
The film opens with John and Mia, two siblings living with their mother in a rural English village. One night, John is awoken by a strange noise and he finds a mysterious figure in his bedroom. He is unable to identify the figure and is scared. The next day, John and Mia find strange symbols and drawings in their house and they realize that someone is stalking them.
John and Mia soon discover that the intruder is a supernatural being called Hollowface, who is attempting to steal the souls of children. John and Mia’s parents are unaware of the danger and do not believe the children when they tell them about Hollowface.
John and Mia enlist the help of their neighbor, a retired Spanish priest, to help them protect themselves from Hollowface. The priest tells them that Hollowface is an ancient spirit that is attracted to children’s innocence and will stop at nothing to steal their souls.
