Synopsis/Plot
Into the Woods is a 2014 musical fantasy film directed by Rob Marshall, based on the Broadway musical of the same name by Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine. The film stars Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt, James Corden, Anna Kendrick, Chris Pine, Johnny Depp, and many more.
The film follows a baker and his wife who are cursed by a witch, and must embark on a quest to find the ingredients that will reverse the spell. Along the way they encounter many characters from classic fairy tales, including Little Red Riding Hood, Cinderella, Rapunzel, and Jack (of beanstalk fame). As they travel through a mystical forest, they learn valuable lessons about family, love, and courage.
