Synopsis – What to Expect from “Infidel”
Infidel is a 2019 American political thriller film directed by Cyrus Nowrasteh and starring Jim Caviezel, Claudia Karvan, and Hal Ozsan.
The film follows an American journalist, Doug Rawlins (Jim Caviezel), who is in Cairo to cover the Egyptian revolution. However, when he meets a mysterious woman, Leila (Claudia Karvan), he soon finds himself in a dangerous conspiracy involving the CIA, the Egyptian military, and the Muslim Brotherhood.
Doug and Leila are soon on the run, trying to uncover the truth about a hidden agenda that threatens to destabilize the entire region. With the help of an old friend (Hal Ozsan), Doug must battle against the forces of the Egyptian military and the Muslim Brotherhood to uncover the truth and save Leila’s life.
The film takes us on a thrilling journey as Doug and Leila try to stay one step ahead of their pursuers and uncover the truth. Along the way they face danger and betrayal at every turn, and must rely on each other in order to survive. In the end, Doug and Leila must decide if the truth is worth the risk of their own lives.
