Synopsis/Plot
Inferno is a 2016 American mystery thriller film directed by Ron Howard and written by David Koepp, based on the 2013 novel of the same name by Dan Brown. The film stars Tom Hanks, Felicity Jones, Omar Sy, Sidse Babett Knudsen, Ben Foster, and Irrfan Khan.
The film follows Harvard professor Robert Langdon (Hanks) as he wakes up in an Italian hospital with amnesia. He soon finds himself in the middle of a dangerous race against time to stop a madman from releasing a virus that could cause a global pandemic. With the help of Sienna Brooks (Jones), a doctor he meets in the hospital, Langdon embarks on a thrilling mission to uncover the truth about a mysterious organization known as the Consortium, and to prevent the dark conspiracy they have planned.
The film is a thrilling adventure as Langdon and Sienna race against time to stop the Consortium from unleashing a virus that could cause a global pandemic.
